Leader Ratings
This list of period commanders and their 100 BC values is provided
here as a rough guide for game play. Readers who have particular insights into these men, or other officers
not listed here should feel free to change the leader values as needed for game
play (and let us know, to help us update our list).
The lowest level leader used in
100 BC is one who controls a force, which will typically be several thousand men (roughly equivalent to a brigade or small division several centuries later). For Greeks this would be several phalanxes or for Romans it would be a legion. The next level above
force leaders will be army commanders. Note that in some cases, there might be more than one army fighting on the same side, each with its own leader and subordinate leaders of the various forces. Force sizes and therefore leader density may vary widely.
Leader value example:
P2 (P = Leader Class)(2 = Leader Rating). Note: This Alpha version list is not yet nearly complete, names are still being added as reseasrch and playtesting proceeds. Class = E
(energetic), P (proficient) or C (cautious) Rating = -1, 0, 1, 2, 3,
4
