Hunting With Richthofen : The Bodenschatz Diaries : Sixteen Months of Battle With J.G. Freiherr Von Richthofen, by Jan Hayzlett (Editor)

The Storm of Steel : From the Diary of a German Stormtroop Officer on the Western Front, by Ernst Junger.

Seven Pillars of Wisdom : A Triumph, T.E.Lawrence

The Red Air Fighter, by Manfred Von Richthofen. The only book written by the "Red Baron" before he was killed. This book was considered by its author to be somewhat insolent in its tone, but at the time he was a recently successful young man, who was writing for the consumption of the population at home. Had he sruvived the war, he would most likely have written in a very different tone. A reprint of this book is also available on-line here in the WTJ Archives

Fighting the Flying Circus, by Captain Edward Rickenbacker. Excellent reading! A reprint of Eddie Rickenbacker's 1919 memoirs, also available on-line here in the WTJ Archives.

Infantry Attacks, Erwin Rommel. A reprint of Rommel's 1937 handbook for infantry. Represents all his observations and experience from the First World War, including critical assessments of each action and its results.
