MGV Forces and Orders of Battle: Australia
Australian
MEK forces are equipped by domestic sources as well as several Med States
manufacturers, Australia being loosely allied with the Med States. They have
had a long and difficult history with Selangor which lies immediately to the
northwest. The two countries have fought several major wars over lucrative
resources that lie in the island territories between Darwin and Singapore. Most
of these territories belong to the pre-glacial countries of Indonesia and New
Guinea, but these areas are now a patchwork of semi-autonomous settlements
allied in varying degrees to the two regional powers.
Australia is a big
customer for Caffarelli (Malta), whose EU4 Pilum features prominently in AU
orders of battle. The Australian Tactical Forces markets a version of the
Caffarelli EU3 Pike called the AU3 "Pike A" which has a slightly
improved weapon range.
Below is listed a general order of battle for
typical Australian MEK formations currently in use. The AU8 Sarrisa is
sometimes replaced by the less expensive AU4 Pike A, especially when an
action may be against older or outnumbered formations.
